EMB HQ Chennai LDC & MTS Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on)

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC) -

(I) 12th/HSC passed or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.

(II) Typing speed of 35 words per minute m English (or) a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi (on computer).

2. Tally Clerk -

(I) 12th /HSC passed or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.

(II) Conversant with the duties of shipping with three years experience certificate from recognized Shipping Agency.

3. MTS (Messenger) -

(I) Matriculation or equivalent passed from a recognized Board.

(II) Conversant with the duties as Office Assistant with six months experience certificate from any Civil/Government Office. 

(iii) Willing to perform multiple tasks as MTS other than trade specific.

4. MTS (Safaiwala) -

(I) Matriculation or equivalent passed from a recognized Board. 

(ii) Conversant with the duties of House Keeping with Is months experience certificate from any Civil/ Government office.

(III) Willing to perform multiple tasks as MTS other than trade specific.

Age Limit:

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details:

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC) - Rs.19900/- Level - 2

2. Tally Clerk - Rs.19900/- Level - 2

3. MTS (Messenger) - Rs.18000/- Level - 1

4. MTS (Safaiwala) - Rs.18000/- Level - 1

 

EMB HQ Chennai LDC & MTS Selection Process 2021:

EMB HQ Chennai may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1.	Written Exam
2.	Practical Exam
Scheme of Examination : A written test will be held at Chennai which will have questions of the level of Class 12th for the post of LDC, Tally Clerk and Class 10th for the ,t of MTS (Messenger), MTS (Safaiwala) followed by practical examination. Candidates appearing for written test would also be subjected to Practical Exanimation.
Call Latter for Examination: Shortlisted candidates would be intimated the date, time and venue for conduct of written examination and practical test. Only candidates who receive .Call letter are required to appear for the examination along with the .call letter received. The department is not responsible for any postal delay that may occur. No telephone Calls will be entertained at any stage of recruitment process for any clarification.
