Chennai Customs Group C Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: (As on)
1. Sukhani (Group C) - Essential: (i) Eighth Standard pass. (ii) 7 years service on sea going vessel with 2 yrs experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxiliary sails. Desirable: (a) Certificate of competency for inland Master Second class or (b) Certificate of Service. (c) Matriculation or equivalent. |
2. Seamen (Group C) - Essential: (i) 3 years experience in sea going vessel with the 2 years in helmsman and seamanship work. Desirable: (a) Certificate of Fishery Training School. (b) Eight standard pass or equivalent. |
3. Greaser (Group C) - Essential: (i) Two years experience in sea going vessel on main engine and auxiliary machinery maintenance. Desirable: (a) Operator Training Certificate of Fishery Training School. (b) Eight standard pass or equivalent. |

1. Sukhani (Group C) - Pay Band: Pay Level 4 (Rs. 25500-81100/-) with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/- |
2. Seamen (Group C) - Pay Band: Pay Level 4 (Rs. 18000-56900/-) with Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- |
3. Greaser (Group C) - Pay Band: Pay Level 4 (Rs. 18000-56900/-) with Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- |
Chennai Customs Group C Selection Process 2022:
The selection process shall consist of a Written Exam on General Knowledge and Technical Question relating to the post. The candidate qualified in the written examination will be called for interview. The date of the written examination, interview and the result of the selection process will be available in Intranet and https://chennaicustoms.gov.in/. The examination will be conducted only in Chennai and candidates have to make their own arrangements for attending the examination.
